Friend Connection - Serve in developing English skills in a family or classroom setting.
Community Guide - Use your creativity to help the refugee family to learn more about their new community and beyond.
Tutoring - Give time and attention to a small group of students and assist them in working through homework.
Teaching English - English as a Second Language teachers could always use an extra hand in supporting our refugees in their classrooms.
Outreach Assistance - Assist in the planning and directing of outreach programs.
Celebration Events - Have your team sponsor a celebration such as a holiday event, a shower or graduation and other special events.
Building Projects - Have your team be involved in a building project at the Hope International Center
Opportunites to Give
Welcome - Give a gift of $100 to welcome a family to enjoy immediately upon their arrival.
A clean house - Give a gift of $250 to provide vacuums, brooms, and household cleaning supplies.
Buy Groceries- Give a gift of $500 to purchase culturally appropriate groceries for the family for the month
House Furnishings - Give a gift of $1500 to provide furnishings such as single beds, Kitchen tables, small appliances and household items.
